Sandy’s Dad

My Dad joined the Navy at 17. He was a landing craft coxswain.

A coxswain steers the boats that carry ground troops to shore.

During one of the most crucial battles of WWII, Dad was taking soldiers from the ships to the shore.

He immediately noticed that the soldiers who jumped off the boats and hit the water had a
disadvantage over the soldiers who landed with their feet on the beach…what he called “boots in the sand.”

The coxswain had one focus. Get the men close to shore without getting blown up.

It was a dice roll for you if you jumped off the boat and landed in the water.

You could never be sure how deep it was.

If you were a soldier, loaded to the hilt with gear, you might land in water over your head.

That would instantly weigh you down. There was a chance you could drown, or simply become a
sitting duck for a sniper.

If you were lucky, you might only get wet up to your waist, but you still had to trudge through the
water which slowed you down.

This also left you with soaking wet feet, which is never a good thing for a soldier.

To avoid getting killed, these young men had to hit the ground running. The only way they
had a fair chance of getting to safety was getting their boots in the sand.

So on every run my dad made, he would drive his boat close enough to shore so the soldier’s feet
could land on the sand when they jumped off.

I remember the first time dad told me this story. In my mind, he had taken a huge risk getting his
boat up on shore. The closer to shore you got, the easier you were to get picked off by the enemy.

I remember asking him if he was scared out of his mind.

He said, “Weren’t they…the boys jumping out onto that beach?”

I asked if everyone drove the boats close enough to the shore and he said;

“Everyone was a hero on that beach. I took the same risk as the next man. We all did. In battle,
you’re responsible for the person to the left of you and to the right of you and the person in front of you.
Your job is to keep one another safe. With God’s help, I just did my best so those boys had their boots in the sand.”

Such Courage My Father Had…And Such Humility – But His Heart Was Perhaps Even Bigger

As a little girl living in the projects in Bronx, I remember a night where a guy was crying for help from the street.

My dad jumped from his bed, grabbed a baseball bat, and ran to the elevator. I still have that image in my mind of my
Daddy, wearing a tee-shirt and grasping a Louisville slugger, running downstairs to help some stranger.

It’s the kind of guy he was.

We would be driving somewhere and he would stop the car, get out and walk a blind person across the street.
He was always concerned with the well-being of others.

He was a great role model. He taught me principles that shaped my life. Some people will refuse to help those in need,
but have no problem wasting their money on worthless things.

He said “wasting money means nobody gets to benefit from it.”

More than once I watched in horror as he gave his last dollar to someone who needed it more than him. We didn’t
have a lot to spare growing up. But Daddy had a unique mindset. He taught me to never question being charitable,
to always be willing to work hard and give of yourself to others. We weren’t starving, but someone else was.

Speaking of working hard, Dad was the hardest working man I’ve ever seen. He worked as a truck driver and also held
down two extra jobs as a taxi driver and an Electrolux vacuum salesman.

He did this to earn extra money so when summer came around, he could get us out of the sweltering concrete
jungle for two months.

He was a friend to everyone, and was everybody’s dad to my childhood friends. My father instilled many things in me,
including a spirit of courage, honesty, hard work and most of all, love.

So Why Did I Take All This Time To Tell You About My Dad?

Because he is the driving force…he is the person who inspired me to create My Financial Wall™. The passion that made
him heroic is also burning inside of me.

So many network marketing people are not making it, are not achieving their dreams.

My goal is to not only make it easy for people to succeed, but to actually help them surpass my level
of success to create a sustainable income that far exceeds mine!

My dream is that every person in my organization will go from wherever they are (stability or financial misery)
to millionaire mastery.

You see, I’m giving the world a system that works.

I’m giving everyone who is ready to step up and claim their right to live an amazing life and who wants to thrive,
a track to run on.

While most of us don’t have bullets flying at us, lives are still on the line. This is your time to come ashore!
